What is Conditions?
Conditions are requirements in an offer that must be met for the sale to proceed — like financing or inspection.
Definition
Also known as: Contingencies
A conditional offer depends on certain things being satisfied, such as securing financing, a satisfactory home inspection, or the sale of your current home. If a condition isn't met, you can usually walk away.
Conditions protect buyers, while a firm (unconditional) offer is stronger for sellers. Balancing the two is part of negotiating.
